Laser Safety Officer Certification Training

This course will cover basic laser principles, laser show safety and regulations on the federal, local and state level. Every professional laserist should know this information in order to make educated decisions in the field. "Safety" is the key word for this curriculum. Lasers can be dangerous if handled improperly, that's why there are standards and regulations. The ANSI Standard Z136.1 is written and amended by laser professionals to suggest best practical methods of operation and calculations which is recognized by OSHA.

This is a comprehensive class for laser show operators and technicians, laser safety officer "LSO". This class does not cover the material for the Certified Laser Safety Officer "CLSO" training, which applies to all industry-wide laser professionals.

This class can be taken at any pace and once completed the test will be available anytime. The point in all of this is to absorb the information and just know it. Not every scenario will be the same and it's up to the LSO to make sound decisions based upon education and mostly common sense.
